$84.99 Prize for Gervonta Davis Vs. Ryan Garcia On May 22

The PPV award for next month’s fight between Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis and Ryan Garcia is excellent $84.99not the $100 fans predicted for the April 22 fight on Showtime at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Organizers need to include a quality undercard to the event because if they’re charging $85 for Davis-Garcia, there needs to be a quality card for fans to want to buy.

We saw Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s high-priced $100 PPV bouts against Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor packed with the poorest or poorest undercards. Fans were furious afterwards when both of those main event bouts turned out to be complete duds.

While that’s not as high a pay-per-view as boxing fans thought Davis-Garcia would be, it’s not low enough to discourage people from reaching out to him illegal piracy to watch the fight for free in a stream or with a stick.

To discourage fans from stealing the Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia PPV event, the promoters would likely need to lower the price to a level that is reasonable for fans. Unfortunately, $84.99 is probably too much to take away the incentive to steal it with an illegal stream or stick.

“He took rehydration for the weight but he signed up for it. is it fair I don’t know. That’s what he signed up for,” Devin Haney told Fighthype of Ryan Garcia, who scored for their March 22 fight.

“If he felt like he could be victorious in these conditions, we’ll have to see, but what can you do? Of course I want the biggest fights to happen, but it all starts with Loma,” Haney said when asked if he’d like to fight the winner of Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia.

First, Haney must successfully defend his undisputed lightweight title against #1 WBC Vasily Lomachenko on May 20 in Las Vegas.

“Loma is not someone to look past. He’s not someone to even think about what’s next because he’s so dominant,” Haney continued. “He’s one of the best in the sport. I would say I’m number 1 and he’s number 2. It’s #1 vs #2 so we’ll have to see what comes next.

“Of course there are bigger fights out there, but we have to see if there are tougher fights. It starts on May 20, and we’re going to go from there,” Haney said.
